ImprovEYES is a project by Crystal Ding, who hails from London, England. Through ImprovEYES, Crystal shares the hidden excitement, strength and beauty behind visual disability and disorder, which she has experienced since early childhood but which took a much more debilitating and disabling turn in 2012. Playing with eyes closed, key, mode and melody changes are unplanned and strictly inspired by touch and movement of the whole body. With ImprovEYES, the listener is invited to witness and share a piano "performance" an adventurous, playful, and vulnerable experience. On a deeper personal level for Crystal, who is now lucky enough to be pursuing long-term vision treatment with Northampton Vision Specialists to get a second chance at seeing normally, ImprovEYES is a tribute to the blind, the visually impaired, and those with functional disorders that impact the brain - individuals who not only overcome adversity and challenging odds, but who adapt as a result of their adversity to learn new ways of being, and of doing what they love.

Opening reception will begin at 6pm, light refreshments and drinks will be served.
